My ending of the story,

The Lady or the Tiger?

The door opened and a perilous silence continued. The curtains behind the door began to be swaying and everyone was in consternation. The princess's lover was still confident in the princess judgement and stood firmly on the ground. However, as the curtains began to sway more vigorously, the man began to fear. All of a sudden, a ferocious beast launched an enormous jump into the arena. The man's thought was backfired and he was instantly flabbergasted. The tiger roared surly and the crowd went silent tersely. The tiger had a hostile look on its face as it glared draconically at that man.

The princess was instantaneously riled by her atrocious decision. She was contrite and melancholic. She broke into tears and left the arena forlornly. She rued that she had put the man in such a predicament due to her jealousy. However, the barbaric king was exuberant as he witnessed a 'show' that was perpetrated rapturously. The man felt abject as he stood stolidly in the centre or the arena. The lowering tiger approached the man menacingly as the crowd began to chat boisterously about the deplorable incident. In a nanosecond, the tiger devoured the man. After the aghast incident, everyone went back home dolorously while the barbaric king was still cheerful. The tiger went back to its cage after savouring a good meal. The princess cried her heart out but it was useless. She knew she could never meet the man she loved ever agian.

My reflection upon this ironic ending is that the king should not be so barbaric and uphold justice instead of allowing the person to decide their own fate. This is not an apt practice to do in the arena. If a person is hapless, he's gone. If a person is lucky, he could relish the rest of his life.

I abhorred the princess as her fervent jealousy had led to a woebegone ending of her lover. She should allay her jealousy and helped her lover out of his fiasco.
