Dear Journal,

My family is in a very severe plight. My mother is very severely sick and my father could only be drinking all day long. My sister needs to do housework so I was forced to work. My sister and I are in a very tough situation with another two more sisters to take care of. My father, when in bad mood would beat us up for no particular reasons. Unfortunately, there wasn't any jobs for me to be employed in Thul and I had sadly left for bombay in desperation. All alone here, I had nobody to rely on. Bombay was a buzzing city and I could hardly find any employers.
I seek help from a kind watchman and he kindly rendered his help by sending me to a very generous and kind eatery's boss, Jagu. He took me in and also allowed me a place for me to sleep. Mr Panwallah had also taught me how to repair watch. I was finally able to work and earn myself a living.
I am very grateful to Jagu, if not for him, I would have wasted my trip all the way to Bombay. I would also be left alone. I must also be grateful to Mr Panwallah for teaching how to repair watches and accompany me. All my sincere thanks to the two good Samaritan!
Life was tough for me and I knew it was much more tougher for Lila back in Thul. I knew that my mother must feeling very sickly now. I miss my family very much I found no way to express my sorrow and decided to write a journal on my predicament. I hope I could learn enough money so that I could quickly go back home and give them my earnings, and share the woes together. After writing this affectionate journal, I feel much better than before.
